Is it time for a change in your life? Maybe that change IS time.
A trade school for watch makers was created in 2023 to “prepare and educate the next generation of Rolex-certified watchmakers.” According to the Rolex Watchmaking Training Center (RWTC), this school provides an 18-month, tuition-free program where students will focus on mechanical theory, movement assembly and how to manufacture Rolex products.

Rolex provides all the tools needed with an emphasis on “mentorship and lifelong learning” and investing in long-term success of students. After completing the 18-month program, graduates travel to Geneva, Switzerland for their final examination, which authorizes them to work within the Rolex service network.
Rolex-certified watchmakers in the U.S. have a salary between $50,000 and $80,000, professionals and top earners in high-cost cities like Dallas or New York can potentially earn up to $90,000 to over $100,000. Hourly pay can range from $25 to over $40 based on experience, certification level and location.
As the program is tuition free and covers travel expenses, Rolex pays each student $1,800 monthly while they are in the program. No prior experience is needed to apply. Applications are currently closed; they will reopen October 15 through December 15.
