Eastfield trounced Mountain View on Mar. 29, 21-7 to go undefeated in their three-game series and advance to 11-1 in conference play. The team is currently No. 2 in the nation and first in conference.
The Harvester Bees scored seven runs in the first and third innings while Mountain View answered with one each. They earned six more in the fifth inning to further their lead and grab their fifth win in a row.
Josh Vaughn, J.J. Bush, Aubrey Whitehead and Billy Spratt hit it out of the park for the Harvester Bees. Vaughn is currently swinging .413 out of 104 at-bats. Whitehead got four RBIs, Vaughn, Spratt, Trenton McGee and Payton Poole nabbed three each and Bush, River Curs and Michael Caputo all got one.
Tyler Do pitched the first four innings and allowed six hits and four walks out of 21 batters faced. Nick Lazano and Ryan Johnston closed out the game with only four and two allowed hits, respectively.
