After the merger of Six Flags and Cedar Fair last year, Jeffrey Siebert was named as the regional president of the Texas properties, which include Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor Arlington, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Frontier City and Shlitterbahn Waterparks.
For the original park, Six Flags Over Texas, Siebert went all in for the 65th anniversary. With a $1 billion investment, the park had many parts renovated, which included enhancements for Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast and Batman the Ride. Part of that investment is seeing the addition of Tormenta Rampaging Run, which will break six world records.

Reaching 309 feet, the addition will become the world’s first giga — a dive coaster reaching 300 feet. Other records broken will include the world’s tallest 95 degree drop, the tallest Immelman, coming in at 218-feet tall, the tallest vertical loop, at 179 feet, the fastest dive coaster, reaching speeds up to 87 miles per hour, and the longest dive coaster, covering 4,199 feet of track.
“In our new Spain village, we will be celebrating the running of the bulls. To do so, we need a new shining beacon for Six Flags Over Texas,” Siebert said. The new attraction is advertised to redefine the skyline of not only the park, but the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
“This ride will be shy under three minutes, which is insane; typical coasters usually have a duration of a minute,” Siebert said.
Other than Tormenta, Six Flags Over Texas is introducing Cocina Abuela. This new dining location will include live tortilla making and its menu will change daily.
Future enhancements are well on their well, with Siebert saying, “Certain areas of the park will see new life, and will enhance nighttime at the park”

Across the street, Hurricane Harbor is also seeing improvements, with the addition of a secret waterslide that will replace the extinct black hole attraction. Construction is underway for this new ride.
The future of Six Flags Over Texas looks to be glowing brighter with the help of Siebert and his Texas-based team. The park was seen by most as underperforming, just having additions of cloned attractions, or flat rides. Now they are having the spotlight with their first ground up addition since Titan 2001. “We’re just getting started,” Siebert said.
