Police chase prompts El Centro lockdown

Two people were detained after causing an intruder lockdown this morning at El Centro College, according to a release from the Dallas County Community College District. Three robbery suspects were running from Dallas Area Rapid Transit officers near El Centro College, according to the release.
DART officers apprehended two of the suspects outside of the college, a DCCCD spokesperson said. DCCCD police then swept the building as a cautionary measure to ensure the third suspect was not in the building.

The lockdown was announced around 11:30 a.m. and lifted about an hour later.
