Eastfield College held a Tech Expo within T-building on Oct. 24. During the seven hour event, 12 high school students from all across Dallas County, as well as Eastfield students, had the chance to meet with 12 business partners across the automotive industry. Students who participated were met with three open garages in the T Building: T-134, T-018 and T-117, with different booths inside and between those garages, too.
Many attendees showed excitement as students were allowed to browse and enter show cars, which ranged from vintage models to the current generation. Professors also actively participated in the events and showed just as much if not more enthusiasm than the students.
The industry partners ranged from car manufacturers to paint designers, among many others. Approximately 300 students congregated together throughout the event and, despite the large space, people were huddled shoulder to shoulder beside presentation booths.
