The man accused of stabbing two Eastfield police officers has been declared incompetent to stand trial.
Miguel Angel Sarinana has been committed to a mental health facility, Police Chief Michael Horak said. After 120 days, he will be evaluated again to determine his competency to stand trial.
Sarinana was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a public servant.
Officer Elias Reymundo and Sgt. Melissa Jacobs suffered multiple lacerations during a Nov. 3 altercation with the campus intruder, according to police.
